Abstract
In a sample of Brazilian infants, the effects of intrauterine growth and gestational age upon weight, height and head circumference measurements at 4, 8 and 18 months were studied using analysis of variance. Both independent variables had a significant effect upon weight, height and head circumference at 4 and 12 months while only intrauterine growth had a significant effect at 18 months for weight and height. Socio-economic status and maternal parity had significant effects upon weight and height especially at later age levels. Keywords
