Winter habits of the cunner, Tautogolabrus adspersus (Walbaum 1792), in Newfoundland

Abstract
Cunners along the southern and eastern coasts of Newfoundland are found by SCUBA diving operations to be torpid under rocks in shallow water when winter temperatures fall below 5 °C, and this observation is supported by laboratory observations.
