Abstract
The lattice dynamics of diamond has been investigated on the basis of the Cochran version of the dipole-approximation model. Results have been presented for the dispersion curves, and effective calorimetric and x-ray Debye temperatures of diamond. The effective calorimetric and x-ray Debye temperatures of germanium have also been obtained. Keywords
