Abstract
The research on the distribution and host range of Aphidius platensis has shown that this species is apparently indigenous to India, being further distributed in Africa, Australia, Middle East, South America, and Nearctic America (California-introduced). Its host range is very wide both as to taxonomic affinities and ecology of its hosts, which all belong to the Aphididae. Its utilization as a possibly useful biological control agent is promising. Keywords
