Abstract

This report outlines several wave propagation phenomena which affect electronic navigation and positioning systems and describes the significance of these phenomena and possible means of identifying the effects as they may appear in field operation. The main emphasis of this report concerns GPS applications but the conclusions are directly applicable to many other code/phase radio positioning and navigation systems.
