Abstract
The climate has a high even temp. (25.9 C. mean annual) and an annual rainfall of 270 cm. Man is the chief biotic factor in spite of the sparse population. The structure of the forest shows 2 distinct strata, an upper irregular canopy of 24-m. average height and a lower undergrowth of trees of 14-m. average height. The vegetation is in the main evergreen. Many plant associations are described including a community of epiphytic parasites, one of extreme xerophilous epiphytes, and one of sun epiphytes; a community of flowering herbs, one of ferns, and one of saprophytes. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
