Abstract

The author describes an abnormal condition of tomato fruits, called "tomato puffs," "puffy tomato," etc. The trouble is serious all over the Southern States. 4 symptomatic types of the trouble are described and illustrated, and it is suggested that the descriptive name "tomato pockets" be adopted.
