Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 57-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of optic neuritis.Four years previously cutaneous plaques had appeared, and a diagnosis of mycosis fungoides was made. Three years before admission a course of methotrexate was given by vein over an interval of three months, without appreciable benefit. Six months later total-body irradiation was administered, with improvement. Six months before entry optic neuritis developed in the left eye; prednisone was given, but no change occurred.
