Abstract
Spontaneous tumors were found in 28 of 293 (9.5%) necropsied wild mice (Mus musculus) held without treatment into old age. Lymphomas, pulmonary adenomas, fibrosarcomas, and granulocytic neoplasms were the only tumor types observed, in that order of frequency. Most tumors occurred after the mice were more than 2 years old. Murine C-type virus group-specific antigen and particles were Found by complement fixation and electron microscopy in most spontaneous lymphomas. Keywords
