Abstract
Spin-optimized self-consistent field wave functions have been used to calculate oscillator strengths for transitions between the lowest states of Li and some of its isoelectronic ions. The results obtained are slightly better than those obtained by the ordinary Hartree-Fock method for some transitions, but differ very little from the Hartree-Fock results in the overwhelming majority of the transitions. Keywords
