Abstract

A primary liver carcinoma occurred in a rhesus monkey given aflatoxin B₁ orally for 6 years. The fact that this tumor rarely arises spontaneously in monkeys, and pathologic changes seen in the liver of other monkeys given aflatoxin B₁ suggested that the neoplasm was induced by this compound.
