Abstract
Paramagnetic resonance spectra observed in muscovite and phlogopite micas are described by a spin-Hamiltonian H=g beta H.S+D(S2z-(1/3)S(S+1))+E(S2x-S2y) with S=5/2, E/D=1/3, g approximately 2 and D>hv. The spectra are attributed to Fe3+ in orthorhombic sites.Keywords
