Abdominal Wall Hernia Complicating Chronic Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis

Abstract
A patient treated by chronic peritoneal dialysis developed an abdominal wall hernia at the site of the Tenckhoff catheter. The hernia led to a complete small bowel obstruction which required surgical repair. This is the first reported case of this complication of an increasingly popular treatment for chronic renal failure.
