Abstract
Large numbers of the cigarette beetle, Lasioderma serricorne, exposed to sublethal dosages of pyrethrum spray, deposited only about half as many eggs as unsprayed beetles. This resulted in consistently better control than mortality of test insects would indicate. Failure to deposit eggs may have been due to paralysis or partial paralysis of the genitalia. Keywords
