Abstract
The enzyme of Trichoderma viride II concerned in hydrolysis of carboxymethylcellulose was found to consist at least of two different enzymes, one, depolymeriziiig the substrate and the other, attacking cellotriose and cellobiose to form glucose. The presence of the third enzyme, which might be active for a derived cellulose of certain degrees of polymerization, was also discussed. Keywords
