Abstract
A 9‐year old male German Shepherd Dog had a primary mast cell tumour in the ileocaecal valve. The dog had diarrhoea and weight loss and there was physical and radiographic evidence of an abdominal mass. A pedunculated mass was seen attached to the ileocaecal valve, and the adjoining lymph nodes were enlarged. The neoplastic cells were characterized by mature mast cells with typical granules replacing the intestinal wall and mesentery, which had metastasized to the lymph nodes, bone marrow, liver and lungs. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
