Abstract
The distribution equilibria of nitric, hydrochloric, perchloric, sulphuric and phosphoric acids between aqueous solutions and benzene solution of tri‐n‐octylamine have been investigated. The partition and infra‐red results indicate that the extraction of these acids is governed by the formation of the mono‐amine salts of monobasic acids, and of the mono‐, di‐(and tri‐) amino salts of di‐(and tri‐) basic acids. Keywords
