COMPARISON OF RECORDED TEMPERATURE AND PRECIPITATION IN THE OLDMAN BASIN WITH SCENARIOS PROJECTED IN GENERAL CIRCULATION MODELS

Abstract
In southern Alberta’s Oldman basin, above normal seasonal precipitation normally combines with below average seasonal precipitation and vice versa. This is not consistent with outputs from General Circulation models which suggest that in future, warmer climates in this area will also be wetter. Dans le bassin Oldman au sud d’Alberta, des précipitations sou sonniées plus hautes que normale se combinent d’habitude avec des précipitations sou sonniées plus basses que normale et vise versa ceci ne s’accord pas avec l’information donnée par des modéles de cirailation générales qui suggére qu’au futur, des climats plus chauds dans cette région seront aussi plus humides.Keywords
