Abstract
Great Barrier Reef work is the major example used to describe how remote sensing technology is being applied in coral reef studies. Such studies include reef geography, reef form, surface cover, vegetation, micro aspects and oceanography. New generation sensors optimized for oceanographic applications, means that coral reef and oceanic studies will adopt more precise and more extensive uses of remote sensing technology. Keywords
