Abstract
A reassessment of the stratigraphy of Bagh Beds in Barwah area, Madhya Pradesh reveals that only the basal member, Nimar Sandstone, is present with calcareous facies resembling the Coralline Limestone developed predominantly towards its top and followed up by sandstone shale alternations. Other younger members i.e., the Nodular Limestone, the Lower and Upper Coralline Limestone or the Deola and Chirakhan Marl are absent in this area.
