Abstract
For over five years now, a search has been under way at the Kiev Construction Engineering Institute for new methods to improve higher education in the field of construction on the basis of the modern achievements of science, above all, of cybernetics. Our research is based on the assumption that the ever-increasing rate of scientific and technological progress, and the tendency toward integration of various fields of knowledge, together with their differentiation, require a new approach to the overall problem confronting higher education: an increase in its efficiency. This approach, in our opinion, must stem from a conception of the higher school as a system of dynamically interrelated elements, in which the problem of raising efficiency reduces to the question of finding optimal plans for the evolution of higher education under conditions of constantly changing production requirements. Keywords
