The effect of 2s-2p close coupling on the cross section for excitation of the 2p state of the hydrogen atoms by electrons at high energies

Abstract
A model problem with close coupling is considered. It is shown that even at energies approximately 200-1000eV the 2s-2p coupling can account for 20% change of the cross section for excitation of the 2p state.Keywords
