Abstract
INTRA-AMNIOTIC instillation of hypertonic saline solution has been heralded as a simple and effective means of producing abortion during the mid-trimester of pregnancy.1 2 3 In the following case acute renal failure was associated with this procedure.Case ReportA 31-year-old woman in the 26th week of pregnancy was admitted to the Washington Hospital Center for therapeutic abortion because of psychiatric considerations. Her previous health had been good. Urinalysis was normal except for a trace of protein.
