Abstract
Except plane wave solutions of the field equations in general relativity and those of the field equations in non-symmetric unified field theory are obtained under similar conditions for the case in which electromagnetic fields are present. Main properties of both solutions are compared with each other. The most important result is that, as far as the solutions dealt with in this paper are concerned, the space-time is closely connected with the electromagnetic field in general relativity, while in non-symmetric unified field theory the structure of the Riemannian space-time is determined quite independently of the electromagnetic field. Keywords
