Abstract
A description is given of the use of an organic scintillation counter in conjunction with a thin lens β-spectrometer to detect low intensity, high energy electron groups in the presence of a high background. Evidence for a 4·17 MeV. β-group in the radiations from Na24 has been found, and a value of branching-ratio obtained. Measurements made on the secondary electron spectrum from Na24 show the presence of a high energy γ-ray, possibly from the cross-over γ-transition in Mg24.Keywords
