Abstract
The recording of a Cerenkov ring image requires the detection and localisation of several simultaneous photons. The multineedle counters with cathodic focusing are already used for such a purpose. Complementary studies confirm their ability to be used in Cerenkov imaging devices. The good signal to noise ratio enables very low luminosity events to be detected. Futur development involves a modular detector design including electronic read out. Keywords
