Abstract
A general theory of quantitative histologic apposition auto-radiography is presented. The geometric exposure relationships between histologic section and photographic emulsion are given special attention. A matrix formulation is used which considerably enlightens the understanding of exposure mechanisms, practical performance of quantitative autoradiography, and problems of autoradiographic resolution. Keywords
