The possible Relationship between small Dose Irradiation to the Scalp and Intracranial Meningiomas

Abstract
16 patients with intracranial meningiomas who had previously received irradiation to the scalp are reported. The interval between the irradiation and the present diagnosis was between 22 to 45 years. The cases are briefly presented and the aetiological association is discussed. Es wird über 16 Patienten mit intrakraniellen Meningeomen berichtet, die früher eine Bestrahlung der Kopfhaut erhalten hatten. Das Intervall zwischen der Bestrahlung und der Meningeom-Diagnose betrug 22–45 Jahre. Die Fälle werden kurz vorgestellt und der ätiologische Zusammenhang besprochen. Histoire de 16 malades atteints de méningiomes intracraniens et qui dans le passé avaient subi une irradiation du cuir chevelu. L'intervalle entre cette dernière et le diagnostic de méningiome était de 22 à 45 ans. La relation étiologique en est discutée après une brève présentation des cas.
