Abstract
The use of topically applied neomycin in bacterial skin infections is briefly reviewed; use of the drug alone or in combination with other antibiotics, development of eczematous reactions to neomycin and the emergence of neomycin-resistant bacteria are discussed. Systemic administration of antibiotics such as erythro-mycin is superior to topical neomycin in streptococcal pyodermas. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
