Abstract
This study examined the distribution and patterning of responses to five long-term care arrangements as well as factors associated with various choices. Older adults most frequently preferred care from a relative or paid helper in their own homes and selected moving into a relative's home least often. Marital status, income, race, and availability of extended informal support were significantly associated with at least three arrangement choices. Keywords
