Abstract
Multiple band structure in the symmetric stretching region of the Raman spectra of RbNO3 IV and CsNO3 II confirms the presence of NO3− ions on three distinct crystallographic C1 sites and supports the proposed or space group. Assignments were confirmed by 18O‐isotopic dilution studies.
