Abstract
-shell photoelectric cross-section measurements at 36.818 and 74.409 keV, in 15 elements in the range , have been made using Sood's method with minor modifications which are necessitated because of the nonavailability of clean and strong sources of low-energy photons. No discrepancy between theory and experiment similar to the one reported for the -shell case has been found.
