Abstract
On symmetry grounds and by a systematic analysis of one-meson exchange diagrams, we obtain the two-body axial meson-exchange current operator which is needed for computing meson-exchange corrections in nuclear systems. Special attention is given to the time-component of this operator and the experimental evidence of its importance. Keywords
