Abstract
The microwave spectrum of methyl thionylamine (CH3NSO) has been investigated. Only the a‐type R‐branch transitions have been identified. The components of the dipole moment parallel and perpendicular to the a axis have been found to be . The dipole moment is 1.70±0.02 D. The barrier to internal rotation of the CH3 group in CH3NSO has been found to be 335±15 cal/mole. No nitrogen nuclear quadrupole splittings were observed.
