Abstract
Two devices for collecting engorged ixodid ticks as they drop from calves or rodents are described. The systems are based on feeding ticks on the whole body of the host. Engorged ticks that drop into an excreta-collecting tray move into a concentrating funnel and fall into a collecting vessel. The systems were developed to obtain large numbers of adults of the 3-host tick Hyalomma anatolicum excavatum infected with cattle theileriosis. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
