AN ADSORPTION/REACTION DEVICE FOR GAS-SOLID REACTION STUDIES

Abstract
An adsorption/reaction device that allows successive in situ measurements of adsorption and reaction on porous solids is presented. The adsorption measurements are used to follow the evolution of the pore structure of the solid during the reaction. The effectiveness and data reproducibility of the device were verified with experiments on the reaction of char with CO2 and O2 and the calcination of limestone
