Abstract
The radical anion of 4,4-dimethylcyclohexenone was studied by E.P.R. A simple Hückel molecular orbital description is in fairly good agreement with the observed hyperfine splittings. The relatively long lifetime of this radical in liquid ammonia seems to be due to its steric hindrance to polymerization. Keywords
