Case presentation of an angular ulcer which healed within 2 weeks (radiological and endoscopical control). Biopsy revealed signet ring cells scattered in the tunica propria. Sections through the surgical specimen which did not show any suspicious lesion, demonstrated a colloid carcinoma limited to the mucosal layer.
