Abstract
To the Editor: In a recent issue (October 16, 1969) Blau and his colleagues described 10 cases of isolated trigeminal sensory neuropathy, and emphasized the benign nature of the disturbance. No mention was made of the association of trigeminal neuropathy with connective-tissue disease, although the review closed with the remark that perhaps a search for infectious or immune disturbances may turn up some unity in the now obscure mononeuropathies.I am aware of two patients with progressive systemic sclerosis who were admitted to neurologic departments with isolated trigeminal sensory neuropathies, and in whom, only in the ensuing months, features of . . .Keywords
