SIMPLIFICATION OF THE ROE AND KUETHER PROCEDURE FOR ASCORBIC ACID DETERMINATION IN ADRENAL GLANDS

Abstract
By increasing the temp. at which the 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine-ascorbic acid coupling takes place from 37[degree]C to 57.4[degree]C the incubation can be reduced from 3 to 3/4 hour; or at 100[degree]C to 3.5 min. At high temp. the time and temp. must be very carefully controlled to obtain uniform results.
