Abstract
High speed wafer-scale optical interconnections have been achieved using hybrid opto- electronic integrated circuits (OEICs). Polyimide channel waveguides fabricated using direct laser writing (DLW) served as the interconnect media between the high frequency signal sources and the high speed detectors. The 50 GHz optical interconnection reported here could potentially be used in the implementation of sophisticated wafer scale systems such as phased array radars.Keywords
