Coping with Occupational Stress among Royal Air Force Personnel on Isolated Island Bases

Abstract
This study assessed the demographic and psychometric characteristics that may be related to task performance, supervisory skills, personal skills and conduct during a period of relative isolation and confinement among Air Force personnel. A number of Cattell's 16 PF source traits and certain demographic factors predicted the effectiveness of work performance and conduct of these 64 RAF personnel under these conditions.
