Abstract
Based on symmetry consideration, more generalized chiral field terms are proposed to restore the chiral SU(2×SU(2 symmetry of strong interaction. As a result, a modified quark-quark interaction is obtained. Applying this interaction to nucleon-nucleon scattering, the agreement between the theoretical phase shifts of partial waves and experimental data is improved.
