Abstract
A magneto-optic Kerr-effect study of monolayer Rh on Ag(100) was undertaken to test recent predictions of 4d ferromagnetism. For temperatures down to 40 K, no evidence of ferromagnetic order was observed. Possible explanations for the absence of long-range spin ordering are presented. Keywords
