Abstract
A new scheme for controlling the stator power output of a system-connected slip-ring induction generator by electronic variation of its rotor resistance is presented. Laboratory testing suggests the application of this scheme in overcoming major operational difficulties experienced by wind turbine generators operating in parallel with a small power grid. Keywords
