SOME OPINIONS ON TREATMENT OF CANCER OF THE ESOPHAGUS

Abstract
1. The fate of 446 patients with cancer of the esophagus treated mainly with irradiation, between 1950 and 1964, is reviewed. 2. The results of all methods used are tabulated. 3. A comparison is made with the best radiation data available and this suggests that some of the deaths are related to radiation complications. 4. Some suggestions regarding investigation and treatment are made.
