Abstract
The 2 gynandromorphs reported with [male] parts patro-clinous may be explained by the theory of loss of an X-chromosome in development; but, since both came from crosses producing biparental [male][male] they are regarded as having developed from binucleate eggs in which each nucleus was fertilized by a different sperm. Egg bi-nuclearity and dispermy are both involved with absence of an X-chromosome either from one egg nucleus or from one sperm nucleus.
