Abstract
Recent work indicates that IFNα produced in human leucocytes and purified chemically or immunologically induces an inflammatory response in volunteers when injected intradermally. It also appears to produce a mild and late response when sprayed intranasally. Purified IFNα also produces systemic symptoms and signs after injection. Keywords
