Abstract
The sensitivity of the length, velocity and acceleration formulae, for photoionization of two electron systems to inaccuracies in the bound and continuum wave- functions is discussed for high energy photons. Analytic formulae are derived for the high energy behaviour of the nonrelativistic continuous oscillator strength for He, Li+ Be2+, B3+, C4+, N5+, O6+, F7+, Ne8+ and Mg10+, which, together with the recent calculations of Bell and Kingston (see Abstr. A75756 of 1971) enable accurate photoionization cross sections to be evaluated at all photon energies. Keywords
