Abstract
Data collected on 2781 water-fowl nests over 6-yr. period on Malheur Nat. Wildlife Refuge. Of this number 270 found destroyed by various predators. Destruction of waterfowl nests and eggs by coyotes found to vary as to pattern. At times it is difficult to distinguish damage by coyotes to eggs from that done by birds. At times coyotes bury eggs taken from nests they have located. Expts. were run on egg eating habits of a pair of penned coyotes.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
